Hotels near the Torbay Carnival

Torquay's harbourside bursts into life this summer with the return of Torbay Carnival. Much of the action is concentrated at Paignton Seafront but special events, live music performances and impromptu dances take place throughout the town - prepare to join in!

Torquay in the summer means days lazing on the beach and evenings munching on fish and chips, but Torquay during Torbay Carnival means much more. The carnival itself is the main focus of events but supplementary events either side of it means there's plenty to keep you entertained.

A literal highlight to proceedings is the carnival's fireworks display but perhaps the event you should pay most attention to is the annual waiters and waitresses race. With restaurants in the town full to capacity during the carnival you may be best off dining in the winner's establishment - even if you have to wait to be seated you'll at least be assured fast service.
