Aye Write!, Glasgow's Book Festival at beautiful Mitchell Library, is relatively youthful (having only started in 2006), but already rivals its neighbour Edinburgh with an impressive range of international authors. Home-grown talent is also strongly represented with lively debate guaranteed.

Aye Write! takes place annually in early March and always hosts an eclectic roster of authors, covering a huge range of topics.

In 2012 the centenery of the Titanic is commemorated, alongside more recent affairs, such as the state of the economy with Alistair Darling.  Also featured are Leningrad, the ancient Greeks, Marina Warner on The Arabian Nights and a film comedy strand bringing back to life Les Dawson, Dad's Army and Marty Feldman.  Aardman Adventures' new movie, The Pirates, also gets an airing.
