Glasgow Mela

The O2 Glasgow Mela celebrates the city's multiculturalism with a day of music and dance from the Indian sub-continent. Set in beautiful Kelvingrove Park this is a lively and colourful day out, regardless of the Scottish weather.

First held in 1990 as part of the city's European City of Culture year, since 2011 the Glasgow Mela has been a two-day event. As ever, it brings together those from different cultural backgrounds and offers a wide range of entertainment for the whole family. Song and dance are the main attractions but there are also workshops, street performers, a funfair and plenty of food from the East to sample.
