International Dance Festival

Birmingham's International Dance Festival presents a programme of performances from around the world at indoor and outdoor venues throughout the city. A biennial event, it's another high-energy fixture in the city's cultural calendar, and features both local and international dance troupes.

Showcasing a huge range of dance styles at venues across Birmingham and the West Midlands region, this year's International Dance Festival is the region's biggest dance festival, comprising a world-class programme of outstanding dance performances from around the globe, large-scale events for mass public participation, workshops, commissions and debates.

With some of the performances fierce in their intensity and expression, relaxation and entertainment is also offered away from the stage. Free outdoor events complement the festival programme and a special effort has been made to develop activities for children and families.
