STEAM - Museum of the Great Western Railway
Swindon's STEAM - Museum of the Great Western Railway, housed in a restored Grade II-listed railway building, takes visitors back in time. There are a number of reconstructed scenes that tell the story of the legendary line and those who built it.
The Great Western Railway was a wonder of the industrial age. Overseen by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the line was the most advanced anywhere in the world.
