Fort William hosts this round of the Mountain Bike UCI World Cup, one of a series of worldwide events from Canada via Europe to Australia. Over 300 competitors from 26 countries thrill thousands of spectators who come to see the world's top riders.
The Fort William round of the World Cup has been voted the best mountain bike event in the world by those in the know. Competitors battle for World Cup points in three separate competitions - the Downhill, the 4-Cross and the Cross Country - decided on the slopes of Aonach Mor.
The Nevis Range has been host to World Cup qualifying rounds since 2002 and its rugged beauty has made it a great favourite on the international bike circuit.
