Weymouth Beach Kite Festival

Kite fanatics come together each year for the Weymouth Beach Kite Festival. Thousands watch from the esplanade as kite fliers from around the world put on a magnificent aerial display.

Saturday is a "casual" kite flying day while on Sunday and Monday the airborne excitement really gets going, with a full programme of displays and competitions. Attractions include giant sky sculptures, stunt kites, fighting kites and children's workshops.

Sunday features night flying and a firework display.
