Hotels near the Overgate Shopping Centre

There are 60 high street favourites - including Gap, FCUK, Mango, Next, Oasis Warehouse, W H Smith, H&M and Sports Soccer - to occupy the mind and the wallet in Dundee's Overgate Shopping Centre. The centre is Europe's only single-sided shopping mall, set beside a spectacular curved glass wall, with well-appointed balcony cafés for shoppers to rest before another retail onslaught.

Overgate is a city centre success. A little-liked and often-criticised 1960s shopping centre was done away with and replaced by this magnificent single glass-fronted building, with 25 different decorative bronzes by David Wilson adorning the stone facade. The view through the windows is over to the City Churches - St Mary's, with St Paul's on the other side of Nethergate.

Encompassing 420,000 square feet, the two-level complex includes Debenhams, Littlewoods and Primark as well as Boots and Argos, restaurants and electrical and communications retailers.
