The Plymouth Mayflower
The Plymouth Mayflower is an interactive visitor attraction located close to the Mayflower steps, from where the Pilgrim Fathers left for the "New World" on the Mayflower ship.
Visitors can learn everything about the first voyage to America, what life was like at the time and why the Pilgrim Fathers decided to set sail. There are also exhibits about the creation of nearby Sutton Harbour, the local fishing industry, the impact of the Spanish Armada and models of the Mayflower and other ships that set sail from Plymouth, such as Francis Drake's Golden Hind. A fun genealogy exhibit with quizzes and touchscreen facility is also included, and on the top floor there are panoramic views over the harbour.
