Winter Gardens

With its stunning crystal domes, Blackpool's Winter Garden is a Victorian masterpiece. It is home to Europe's second largest theatre, an Opera House and the breath-taking Empress Ballroom.

When it was first conceived in 1875 the idea behind the Gardens was "to place on the land a concert room, promenades, conservatories and other accessories calculated to convert the estate into a pleasant lounge, especially desirous during inclement days." Today it hosts a wide variety of events including concerts, exhibitions and conferences.
