Blackpool Zoo Park

When you get tired of the wildlife at the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool's award-winning zoo offers a whole range of alternatives including lions, tigers, elephants, gorillas, reptiles, exotic birds and even creepy crawlies.

The zoo is set in 32 acres of mature woodlands and lakes, perfect for a family day out with plenty of wild encounters to be had, feeding times to attend and keeper's talks to help you find out more about the animals.

If you develop feelings for a tarantula or a baby monkey, you could choose to adopt it. The money raised is used to help the zoo aid the survival of many endangered species. Or if you prefer to get intimate with the pachyderms, take part in the Elephant Encounter and watch the bathing, grooming and feeding, all under the expert supervision of the fully trained keepers.
