Hotels near the Last Night of the Proms - Caird Hall

All Britain's principalities join in The Last Night of the Proms, with parties across the land. The Scottish Last Night of the Proms returns to Dundee's Caird Hall, with a live broadcast for al fresco audiences in the City Square.

The concept is simple: each venue has one of the BBC orchestras to play the first half of the concert live and then the famous second-half shindig, including all the traditional sing-a-long favourites, is beamed onto a massive screen direct from the Royal Albert Hall.

Here in Dundee on the stage is the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (who have, of course, been regular visitors to the Royal Albert Hall during the eight-week season). Conductor Stephen Bell is joined by favourite British tenor Alfie Boe, alongside Scottish soprano Lisal Milne, the Dundee Proms Chorus and young traditional musician of the year, Kristan Harvey. The concert is introduced by Radio Scotland's Kaye Adams and Jamie McDougall.
