Museum of East Anglian Life
The open-air Museum of East Anglian Life explores aspects of domestic, agricultural and industrial life in East Anglia over the last ten centuries. Objects of interest include a number of beautifully preserved and restored agricultural steam engines.
Inside the Boby Building, which dates back to the 1870s, there are reconstructed craft workshops illustrating printing, wood turning, brush making, basket making, saddlery, rake making, coopering, rope making and brick making. There is also a watermill, windpump and non-Conformist chapel, which was locally termed a "Tin Tabernacle" due to its corrugated iron roof.
A collection of rare breeds graze on the water meadows by Rattlesden river and a number of pretty walks offer visitors a chance to stretch their legs after a tour.
