The Darwin Centre
The Darwin Centre is The Natural History Museum's most significant development to date. The centre allows visitors access to a working scientific building where they can see zoological specimens on display (some 22 million zoology specimens are in store).
Visitors can also explore, via touch screens, the museum's collections and find out more about the groundbreaking research that is currently underway there. This includes how thinkers are addressing contemporary issues such as the causes of disease, the quality of our air and the maintenance of delicate ecosystems around the world.
Twice a day, there are opportunities to meet the Museum's scientists through a programme of live talks and demonstrations. Visitors can also book on a regular guided tour.
