Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod

Every year thousands of people descend on the tiny village of Llangollen for the International Musical Eisteddfod. The festival is a celebration of folk music, song and dance by performers from around the world.

As well as colourful daytime competitions, competitors and world-renowned artists give special performances each evening. The village's population of just 3000 swells hugely during the festival and a tremendous community spirit sees the locals taking in guests from all over the world.
