BUPA Great Edinburgh Run

Formerly the Capital City Challenge and a part of the BUPA Great Caledonian Run, the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run attracts several thousand runners each year.

The route begins and ends around the Meadows, snaking round the Castle, east along Princes Street, up the Mound, down Market Street and Jeffrey Street to Cannongate, round the new Parliament Building, into Holyrood Park, around Queens Drive and back into the city via the Pleasance, Cowgate and, finally, past the old infirmary.
