The Big Cheese

Caerphilly celebrates its world-renowned cheese and a whole lot more with the Big Cheese summer festival. The weekend extravaganza at the Owain Glyndwr Playing Field presents music, dance and street entertainment portraying the heritage and culture of the area.

Kicking off on Friday night with the Big Cheese Race, live music and fireworks, the festival brings cheese producers from all over Wales together under one roof.

Fun and games over the weekend include historical re-enactments, an activity marquee, a Tommy Cooper tent and a traditional funfair.
