Inverness Summer Festivals

From mid-June's Marymas Medieval Fair to the 400-year-old Kirking of the Council in mid-September, Inverness celebrates summer with a 13-week festival. In between, events include the brawny (Highland Games and Tattoo) and beautiful (the Flower Show).

Marymas Medieval Fair (actually in modern times only as old as 1986), organised by Crossroads Inverness, is a great charity fundraiser, while Kirking of the Council sees the councillors and members of the civic authority blessed in their work at Inverness' Old Town Church, St Stephens.
