Scottish Opera's first visit to Aberdeen's His Majesty's Theatre this season revives Sir Thomas Allen first production for the company, Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia. It's s Rossini's best-known opera, written in just three weeks and packed full of dramatic and musical wit.
Join baritone Ville Rusanen as Figaro, a barber who sings his way into service of one Count Almaviva (Thomas Walker) by helping the Count win the hand of the beautiful Rosina (Clare Booth), rescuing her from the clutches of her overbearing guardian, Don Basilio (Graeme Broadbent) and his henchman Dr Bartolo (Tiziano Bracci).
