Glasgow International Festival Of Visual Art

The biennial Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art exhibits the best of local talent as well as welcoming international artists. With exhibitions at various locations throughout the city, the festival showcases the fascinating variety of contemporary visual art.

There are showings of 130 artists in over 50 city galleries and spaces in 2012, with particular highlights sculptors Karla Black and Nairy Baghramian, two "performed installations" at Tramway by both Graham Fagen & Graham Eatough and Kelly Nipper, and tactile new works by artists Corin Sworn, Mary Redmond, Camilla Løw and Chris Johanson for Dialogue of Hands. At Kelvingrove there are a number or works by Richard Wright, who has made Glasgow his home.
