York Literature Festival
York's Literature Festival continues to grow in stature and prestige each year. Among the events taking place throughout York are talks and readings by authors, performances, theatre, cinema, storytelling, music and literary walks.
Taking an open-minded and eclectic approach to literature and the themes it explores, some of the topics broached in 2010 include Alzheimer's Disease, Georgian houses, erotic poetry, the work of a literary agent, Lassie, independent publishing and women at war.
Just as diverse this year are the authors and poets in attendance, with Amanda Vickery, Kate Atkinson and Jim Crace among those making an appearance.
