Sandringham House & Estate
Home to the British Royal Family since 1862, Sandringham House - set in 60 acres of gardens - is the Queen's traditional Christmas and New Year residence. The house, museum and grounds are open to visitors from April to October.
Considered the most famous stately home in Norfolk and enveloped by a 20,000-acre estate, Sandringham is a magnificent introduction for visitors curious about the British monarchy's life of privilege and prestige.
As well as the obvious splendour of the on-site museum and the House itself, the Estate contains and protects a thriving mixed landscape of woodland, wetland, tidal mudflats, arable land, fruit farms and commercial and residential properties.
With the House a must-visit attraction for anyone in the area, locals and repeat visitors alike continue to flock to the Estate to explore the 600 acres of woodland and heath that make up its Country Park, open free of charge every day of the year.
