Liverpool Cathedral
Liverpool Cathedral is the biggest in the UK and has the highest Gothic arches in the world. Built by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in the early 20th century, the spectacular building is a living church and used for daily worship.
The enormous scale and beauty of the cathedral never fail to make a lasting impression on visitors, along with the panoramic views of the city and beyond from its tower, accessible by two consecutive lifts followed by 108 stairs.
The permanent Great Space exhibition features a short film with aerial views of the cathedral and archive footage of its construction, an audio tour, interactive display stations and a finale of a musical experience on the high nave bridge.
