Bath Festival of Children's Literature

The best children's books are brought to life by their authors and illustrators at the Bath Festival of Children's Literature. Kids are encouraged to take part in author interviews and book signings, drawing with illustrators, storytelling and stand-up comedy.

More than 80 page-turning events at city-centre venues make books fun for everyone from babes-in-arms to teenagers. Adults aren't forgotten either - there are writers' workshops and illustrators' panels.

Anything with a publishing tie-in that will help to get children reading can appear on the programme - the Doctor Who quiz is already a favourite, with guest monster appearances to date including a Dalek and a Cyberman.
