Royal Troon Golf Club

One of the world's most famous golf courses, Royal Troon has hosted the Open Championships eight times. The club has two 18-hole courses - the Old Course and the Portland Course, named after the club's first Honorary President.

When the club celebrated its centenary in 1978 it was accorded the "Royal" accolade, allowing it to be renamed the Royal Troon Golf Course. The nine-hole par-3 course is popular with junior and elderly members and ideal for relaxed family golf.
