Broadstairs Folk Week
During Broadstairs Folk Week the small town is completely taken over by music and dancing, from Cajun to traditional folk and ceilidhs. Performance venues range from parks and pubs to gardens, beaches, restaurants and the promenade.
First held in 1965, Broadstairs Folk Week is one of the biggest celebrations of folk music in Britain. Folk lovers and their families camp for the whole week, or - if tickets are still available - you can take in individual performances. But with a number of venues throughout the seaside town offering concerts at the same time, and a bewildering 70 events a day, you might be spoiled for choice.
