1802 is the bar, lounge and dining room of the Museum in Docklands and shares the museum's original warehouse premises. Cocktails are the order of the day after work when Canary Wharf's well-paid executives come to let off steam. It also serves substantial modern European dishes.
With lots of exposed brickwork and a long chrome bar running down one length of the space, 1802 has preserved its industrial architecture while still offering a slickly-managed, stylish nightspot. For those who like their beer cold and various, this is an excellent choice thanks to scores of beers, alongside a quality wine list.
An ideal location on summer nights when the crowd spills out onto the West India Quay (pedestrianised with a view over the water and Canary Wharf towers) it is a great place to watch the world go by.
