Travel gently back in time on a Great Western Railway coach pulled by a steam engine, as you ride on the South Devon Railway between Totnes and Buckfastleigh.
The tracks follow the banks of the Dart past the Dartington Hall estate and the much-filmed station at Staverton Bridge (where the train pauses). These are just two of the line's many delights, and at Buckfastleigh you can enjoy the Butterfly Farm and Otter Sanctuary, as well as the world-famous Abbey at Buckfast. To reach the train in Totnes, follow the footpath next to Totnes mainline station, and cross the river on the new footbridge.
