Royal Court Theatre

The Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square houses the English Stage Company, Britain's leading company dedicated to new work by innovative writers. Look Back in Anger premièred here and since then the theatre has been at the hub of new writing.

In 2007 RSC Associate Director Dominic Cooke took over from Ian Rickson as the Royal Court Artistic Director.

The theatre puts on 20+ productions a year by UK writers in its two theatre spaces (Jerwood Upstairs and Jerwood Downstairs) and runs a season introducing international new-writing. There is also a great bar and restaurant in the basement where you can eat before or after the show.
