Proms Chamber Music Monday Lunchtimes
In 1995, 100 years after Henry Wood founded "the Proms," the first Proms Chamber Music concerts were held. Since 2005 they have been held under Cadogan Hall's Byzantine tower, a tube stop away from the Royal Albert Hall.
Each Monday small ensembles or solo artists perform repertoire that both complement and expand on the larger programme up the road.

Harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani plays Bach's Goldberg Variations
Monday 26 July
The Elias Quartet play two Purcell Fantasias and the world première of Sally Beamish's String Quartet No 3 Reed Stanzas, before being joined by clarinettist Julian Bliss in Brahms late Clarinet Quintet in B minor
Monday 1 August
Christophe Rousset makes a welcome return with his period ensemble Les Talens Lyriques for examples of the French Baroque, with soprano Eugéie Warnier, who sings both Lully and Montéclair (his rare cantata Morte di Lucretia ) alongside representative examples of Couperin’s Les nations and Rameau's Pièces de clavecin en concerts

Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili follows up her debut Sony album with performances of Liszt’s Sonata in B minor and Liebersträume No 3, followed by Prokofiev's Seventh Sonata in B flat
Monday 15 August
The Aronowitz Ensemble play pupil and teacher Britten and Bridge. Britten's Phantasy Quartet, with oboist Nicholas Daniel and the London première of his Piano Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge by Tom Posner, join Bridge's Second of Three Idylls and his Piano Quintet
Monday 22 August
Featured flautist Emmanuel Pahud, with pianist Eric Le Sage, play Sonatas by Martinů and Prokofiev as well as Henri Dutilleux's Sonatine
Monday 29 August
Featured cellist Yo Yo Ma, with regular partner, pianist Kathryn Stott in the London première of Graham Fitkin’s L (for Ma's 50th birthday), Ceraldo Carneiro's transcription of Egberto Gismonti's Bodas de prate and Quatro cantos and Rachmaninov's Cello Sonata in G minor
Monday 5 September
Featured artist, violinist Christian Tetzlaff, performs Mozart's Violin Sonata in A K526 and Bartoók's Violin Sonata No 1, with pianist Lars Vogt
