Since opening in 2001, The Shadow Lounge quickly established itself as one of the places to see and be seen in gay London. Ostensibly a members' cocktail lounge, it also welcomes paying guests every night.
Stylish and funky, this is the sort of place to sip cocktails and hang with friends, but still has room for letting loose on the dance floor at the heart of the venue - sunk into the floor so that those all around can get a good view. The ceiling is decorated with thousands of fibre-optic strands that give the impression of a starry night sky, while the cosy booths at the perimeter suggest the promise of a private party. The crowd are pretty and stylish and the club often welcomes celebrities through its doors.
