Golowan Festival

The annual Golowan Festival in Penzance is a celebration of ancient Celtic traditions and the midsummer Feast of St John (Gol Jowan). Numerous events take place around town, including traditional dances, street theatre and live music.

The festival culminates over the final weekend. Mazey Day celebrations take place with excitable crowds, live music and the mock mayoral elections, as well as parades with huge figures and performances throughout the town.
