Welcome Millie, the newest member of the team!

Woof! Hi, I’m Millie. I’m 13 years old, and as a previous Crufts champion, I have travelled all over the country with my owner. I have recently joined the team at Best Western Hotels head office, helping them to provide the best and widest range of pet friendly hotels in Great Britain.

I have spent this week training in the call centre, as they now have a dog ‘n bone hotline just for those booking with pets. With over 110 pet friendly hotels, the advisors here can help you find the best hotel for you and your pet, and how they can cater for your needs.

When I’m looking for dog friendly hotels I like to go somewhere with plenty of walks, and if there is good food on offer it is always a bonus!

The BEST WESTERN Monkbar Hotel in York has a great guide of walks around York, with details of ideal lampposts, trees, hedges and railings for a sniff around! After a long day taking in the sights, I was glad to see a comfy bed and my own bowl in the room!

The BEST WESTERN PLUS Mosborough Hall Hotel, near Sheffield is in a great location for long country walks in the Peak District, and you feel so welcomed by a personalised letter with details of the specials of the day. I’ve tried the ‘Local Sausages with Chef’s homemade gravy’ and it is delicious!

Not wanting to disappoint visitors to the Lake District, the BEST WESTERN PLUS Castle Inn Hotel, near Bassenthwaite Lake have recently dedicated one of their bedrooms to those travelling with pets, with a lovely view of the gardens. I can’t wait to visit the Lakes again!

With so much to offer, it’s great to be able to go on hotel breaks with my owner, rather than being stuck in kennels which cost up to £160 a week!

I’m here to answer any questions you might have, so look for Millie The Dog on Facebook if there is anything you want to ask.

To book a pet friendly hotel today, call the dog ‘n bone hotline on 0845 373 1203.
