The world of witchcraft and wizardry will open its doors to the ‘muggle’ community this year as Warner Bros launch the Harry Potter studio tour in London on March 31.
Ever since the first Harry Potter novel was released almost 15 years ago, readers have fantasised about visiting the famous boarding school for wizards and witches. Now that dream can be a reality following the international success of the fantasy film series, fans can soon visit the set where the magic began and discover the secrets from behind the camera.
The tour will showcase a huge array of beautiful sets, costumes and props. It also reveals some closely guarded secrets, including facts about the special effects and animatronics that made these films so hugely popular all over the world.
Visitors will go behind-the-scenes to explore the enchantment of Hogwarts’ Great Hall, Dumbledore’s office, the Gryffindor common room and Professor Umbridge’s office at the Ministry of Magic.
The three hour tour will take visitors into the magical world as they walk along the cobbles of Diagon Alley to witness Ollivanders wand shop, the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Iconic props from all eight films, including Harry’s Nimbus 2000 broomstick and Hagrid’s motorcycle will be on display alongside life-sized models of some of the creatures from the films.
The extraordinary model of the Hogwarts School, which was used for all of the Harry Potter films, will be the grand finale to the Studio Tour.
The studio tour, held at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, offers a unique and truly memorable experience for children and adults alike. It will be one of the UK’s newest and most exciting attractions that should not be missed.
