You can’t have failed to notice that the nights are drawing in and there is that distinctive chill in the air indicating the start of Autumn. So, I thought rather than locking myself in the house with the heating on full blast I would get out and about and think about visiting some of our hotels for weekend breaks. Here are 5 fine Autumnal hotel ideas.
.) BEST WESTERN Kinloch Hotel, Isle of Arran – Love the smell of freshly baked bread? This hotel has its own kiln which they use to make bread, scones and other fancy delights. Yummy!
.) BEST WESTERN Ambleside Salutation Hotel, Ambleside – Has its own fishing lake nearby where you can catch your own fish that the chef will then cook for your tea. (not a fishing enthusiast? Don’t worry and choose what you like from the menu)
.) BEST WESTERN PLUS Centurion Hotel, Midsomer Norton – You too could go up the hill just like Jack and Jill (but hopefully not with the same outcome) as this hotel is a short stroll away from the hill that the nursery rhyme was written about.
.) BEST WESTERN Bell Hotel, Driffield – Has 300 whiskeys in their bar. It will warm you up but I would not advise trying all of them!
.) BEST WESTERN PREMIER Mount Pleasant Hotel – Snuggling up in a cosy bed is one of my favourite things to do when it gets colder and this hotel has so many different beds to choose from; 4 posters, 5 posters and even princess and the pea! If that doesn’t take your fancy then they even have a spa bedroom complete with Jacuzzi, sauna and power shower. Phew!
