Historic Durham City – Durham Cathedral and Castle are World Heritage sites.

Beamish Hall was originally built as a wedding present in 1268 for Guiscard de Charron.
5.) Have you had any celebrities stay at your hotel and if so who?
Brian Johnson from AC/DC stayed with us in July 2011.
John Craven and the Countrywise film crew stayed with us in July 2011.
6.) What is your favourite dish served in the hotel restaurant?
Slow Braised Beef Blade, Roast Shallots, Wild Mushrooms, Mash, Braised Juices.

Beamish Wild – There’s so much going on, the fun never stops! Located at Beamish Hall.
