Best Western Hotel Victoria in Benidorm
For the last few years I have been lucky enough to have been given a Best Western Gift Card fully loaded with sterling as a gift. At first we used this for weekend breaks in England (Best Western Connaught in Bournemouth and Best Western Royal Beach, Portsmouth) but last year we ventured abroad (Best Western Plaza Santa Ponsa, Majorca) and on Saturday we spent three wonderful nights at Best Western Hotel Victoria, Benidorm, Spain.
This hotel is an absolute jewel. Brilliantly located about a five minute walk from shops, restaurants and nightlife and about ten minutes walk from the beach, it oozes care and quality from the second you walk into the palatial reception area. Decorated like the inside of an elaborate cruise liner with gleaming steel, glass and sumptuous furnishings you get much more than the average 4 star.
But the reception staff are the icing on the cake with regard to the arrival experience. You are greeted with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. We arrived late so were rushing to make it for dinner but we were given several options, to go down straight away if that was what we wanted or go to the room first and come down later, whatever was most convenient for us.
And moving on to the food side of things, we were full board which was amazing value for money. The dishes served up every morning, lunchtime and evening were hot, fresh, wonderfully cooked with an array of gourmet salads and delectable desserts that left us extremely full bellied. There is something for everyone, healthy and hearty options but I definitely verged on the hearty side!
The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable with a daily maid service and the balcony was also large with a good sized table and chairs.
We had such a brilliant time at the Hotel Victoria there is no doubt we will be returning. The most important thing for me is customer service, being made to feel special and knowing that any requests or concerns I might have are dealt with efficiently and effectively. Everyone wants to feel like a VIP on holiday and at Hotel Victoria I was made to feel A-list.
