It’s that time of year when you’re woken up by a neighbour mowing their lawn or trimming their hedge on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately for my neighbours that’s me! Every week my grass has to be cut, the hedge trimmed and the soil hoed. My garden has to be the best on the street and I get a lot of satisfaction when it looks pristine.
To my annoyance, my neighbour thinks the same way; the only problem is she has a gardener! Coming home mid week to her garden looking nice, gives me a challenge. So out come the gloves and garden instruments and off I go. This has been a battle of the gardens for 5 years and I’m sure there will be more to come – but who will win?
