The Royal Pavilion is an elaborate seaside palace with a blend of Indo-Chinese opulence. Designed for George IV and transformed by John Nash between 1815 and 1822, its rooms are filled with dragon-shaped chandeliers, carved palm trees and imitation bamboo staircases.
