Where better to celebrate St Andrew's Day than with the people of the city named after him. St Andrew's Day falls on 30 November each year, and the capital of Fife celebrates for a number of days around this date.

St Andrews was named after the Apostle whose relics, according to legend, were brought here by a Greek monk. The picturesque city is steeped both in history and golf and, during St Andrew's Festival, many of the buildings and exhibitions normally closed to the public throw open their doors, including the University, Masonic Lodge and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club.
