Yorkshire - Culture & Nightlife
Party animals should make a beeline for Leeds' Exchange Quarter and Sheffield's Devonshire Quarter. In York there are trendy riverside bars and a huge choice of traditional pubs, while in Hull you should head to the Old Town for buzzing café-bar culture.
Yorkshire - Shopping
Sheffield's Fargate and Pinstone Street have all the main high-street names and plenty of buskers at weekends. Domed mall, Meadowhall, just outside Sheffield city centre, has 270 top brand names and an 11-screen cinema. Frenchgate, in Doncaster, is the latest addition with 130 stores.
Leeds' Victoria Quarter is a series of high-roofed Victorian arcades housing quality boutiques with their luscious window displays, as well as swanky department store Harvey Nichols and the Corn Exchange with one-off designs. Take a trip to Barnsley's Pollyanna, a four-floor designer store in a Georgian Townhouse.
