The London Transport Museum (LTM) reopens today, after a £22 million refurbishment project that closed the museum's doors for two years.
The Covent Garden museum tells the story of the development of London and its transport systems over the last 200 years.
The refurbished museum also looks at the future of the transport, and compares the capital's transport system with those of other world cities. The World Cities display includes footage of public transport from Delhi, New York, Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo, contributed to the museum via its page on Facebook.
New galleries, extra educational areas and a new cafe are also being opened to the public today. Visitors can get a sneak preview of some of the exhibits via the LTM's Flickr site.
