Tickets for the 2008 Edinburgh Military Tattoo have gone on sale today, 9 months before the three-week event is set to open.
The full programme for the 59th Edinburgh Military Tattoo will not be revealed until nearer the time, but some acts are already confirmed.
Performers at the 2008 Tattoo will include an American university marching band, a Canadian Highland Dance troupe and an all-girl drill team from New Zealand.
The Tattoo's new producer, Major General Euan Loudon, said the show's traditional components will next year be accompanied by modern "state-of-the-art production technology" to add to the overall experience.
The Tattoo takes place on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle each year, to a live audience of over 200,000.
The 2008 Edinburgh Military Tattoo runs from 1 – 23 August, with tickets available online now.
