Best Western Hotels See 2007 Membership Boost

Last year saw Best Western Hotels adding a staggering 17 new hotels across Great Britain to its portfolio, with a considerably heightened number of four-star properties within the group.

With more hotels in more areas of Great Britain than anyone else in their sector these new hotels, which range from Langbank in Scotland down to Exeter, will boost the groups coverage, especially in the major cities of London, Leeds and Chester.

What’s more, as the demand for the brand increases year-upon-year the largest group of independently owned and managed hotels is set to announce yet more hotels joining the marketing consortium with ‘Premier’ properties in the pipeline.

With over 280 hotels across England, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands the group also raised their minimum standards enforcing tighter quality assessments in order to continually improve the customer experience. However, it still managed to secure one of the highest number of hotels joining – with an impressive four in as many days!

The increase in brand standards for consistency and expectancy also resulted in a total of 11 properties being removed from the brand last year.

Keith Pope, Director of Membership Services said: “Independent hoteliers are increasingly noticing the need to become part of an international brand, rather than a domestic operator, to compete in the fast changing hotel marketplace.”

“Also, with more distinctive and independent quality hotels to be announced imminently and Best Westerns 30th birthday, this year is sure to be a celebratory one for the brand.”
