Best Western Hotels Scoop Venue Verdict Awards

Best Western Hotels are delighted to have won no less than three conference meeting room gongs in this years BDRC Annual Venue Verdict awards, following hot on the heels of its recent number one status in the Top 25 leading brands by meeting rooms.*

Each hotel outshone against all the others judged in their region beating over 250 hotels to receive the accolade for the best in their region. With only 11 awards in total, of which Best Western have won almost a quarter of, the group are certainly set to make headway in the conference market this year.

Awarded in January, the hotels who won best in their category for their exceptional conference facilities are; the Best Western Edinburgh Capital, Edinburgh, the Best Western Marks Tey, Colchester, and the Best Western Premier Blunsdon House Hotel, Swindon.

Matt Collinson, Director of Performance, BDRC said’; “All three hotels have delivered a consistently positive customer experience throughout the year for meetings and events. In each case, more than 90% of their event-hosts told us that they would recommend the hotel to a colleague if asked.”

“Since personal recommendation is now the single most important source of information when it comes to the venue selection decision, these venues certainly appear to be on the right track.”

The Best Western Edinburgh Capital not only won the Scottish regional award but were also praised by the judges as one of the best performing properties in the UK out of a total of 250. When looking at the three star hotels facilities it is easy to see why with free WIFI and onsite parking, 11 meeting rooms for up to 320 delegates and leisure facilities it was an easy decision.

Winning the number one venue for the East of England the Best Western Marks Tey Hotel is one of the group’s newest members. This four star property has 12 meeting rooms accommodating up to 200 delegates each with plasma screens, free WIFI and parking, 110 ensuite bedrooms and a leisure club.

The third hotel in the largest group of independently owned and managed hotels to win an award is the four star Best Western Premier Blundson House Hotel. This property scooped the number one venue for the South West with its seven meeting rooms plus three additional syndicate rooms, free parking spaces, 116 ensuite bedrooms, free WIFI and staging facilities and a full leisure centre complete with golf course.
