Brighton Breaks showcase:

Brighton Seaside Break

Brighton Rocks!

Don't hold us to it, but on average this is the sunniest, warmest and therefore driest corner of Great Britain, so if that isn't reason enough, then taking your coastal holiday here with Best Western surely is!

Brighton is recommended because of:

  • The Royal Pavilion
  • The Brighton Pier
  • The Marina
  • Volk's Electric Railway

Famed for its iconic architecture and attractions, Brighton has long been a favourite destination for generations past and present. Spend a weekend here and you will see why!

So what is there to do in and around Brighton?

Back in the 18th Century, this once simple farmhouse was transformed into a seaside palace by George, Prince of Wales. Today this opulent former Royal residence welcomes visitors to gaze in wonder at its splendour.

Brighton Pier (originally known as the Palace Pier) opened in 1899. It features a funfair, restaurants and arcade halls – a place to have 'slots' of fun!
Film buffs might well recognise that this beautiful pier featured prominently in the 1971 film, Carry On at Your Convenience.

So Brighton has its history, but it also has modern attractions to tempt you! Brighton Marina is the largest in the UK and boasts a multitude of shops, cafés, restaurants and leisure facilities, so in one small location, you can shop, take in a movie and enjoy a delicious meal in one of their many eateries.

No seaside break to Brighton would be complete without a nostalgic trip on the world's oldest operating electric railway. Volk's Electric Railway was opened in 1883 and runs for just over a mile along Brighton seafront between the Brighton Pier and Black Rock (home of the Marina).

Fancy travelling a little further afield?

Any schoolchild could tell you about the bloody battle that went on in this historic location in 1066. Hastings is an ancient town that comes alive with the numerous attractions and events celebrating this fascinating period of history.

Drusillas incorporating Lemurland, Thomas the Tank Engine, crazy golf, shopping and much more makes this a memorable fun packed family day out in Alfriston.

Weald and Downland Open Air Museum is set in over 50 acres of stunning Sussex countryside. It is a fascinating place to view an amazing collection of almost 50 historic buildings dating back from the 13th to the 19th century. You can also wander the many period gardens, complete with farm animals, woodland walks and a picturesque lake.

So spend your next seaside break at Brighton and enjoy a quintessential British seaside holiday.
