Best Western scoops Gold award
Best Western is pleased to announce that they have won one of the industries most prestigious awards for their marketing activity at this week’s Catey Awards.
The largest group of independently owned and managed hotels, based in York, won the award for the ‘Best Group Marketing Campaign’, wowing the judges for their integrated marketing activity for their partnership with Disney’s film Enchanted.
The award was presented at a glitzy ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London with many of the hotel and catering industry’s top names attending the celebrations from top celeb chefs to industry experts.
Talking about the nomination judge Giovanna Grossi, AA Group Area Manager said: “The Best Western Disney campaign stood out from its competitors because of a combination of successful returns, a real fun element which generated some great national press coverage and the considerate charitable element linked to the project.”
“This was a well structured interesting campaign sprinkled with a Disney magic that had all the judges enchanted!”
The groups Chief Executive, David Clarke, who picked up the award on the night was also interviewed by celebrity Royal reporter Jenny Bond about achieving such an accolade.
David said of the success: “This is a great achievement for the group and shows how our marketing team are at the cutting edge of communications, delivering great results for our member hotels.”

Best Western was one of four companies shortlisted for the award, piping Malmaison, Charlton House Catering and Sodexho Prestige to the post.
