Best Western Rescues Parents from Summer Stress
As the seemingly endless school summer holiday draws near,
Best Western Hotels today revealed its plan to stop parents despairing at how to entertain the kids without breaking the bank - a summer of educational family fun.
With the average summer holiday lasting an impressive six weeks, Best Western Hotels GB responded to desperate pleas from parents who wanted to prise their children away from the TV without spending their life savings trying to avoid the dreaded phrase, ‘I’m bored’.
There are an estimated 8.5 million school-aged children in the UK, representing an army of young people desperate to be entertained throughout July and August.
In response, the hotel group has devised a selection of itineraries based around four foundational school subjects that are anything but boring. Choose from a selection of family breaks that cover English, Science, History and Geography all downloadable from the company’s dedicated website – www.bestwestern.co.uk/entertainingthekids
Taking in some of Great Britain’s most loved attractions and landmarks, these itineraries have been chosen to coincide with Key Stage One and Two National Curriculum topics, including the Vikings, Victorian England, plant life and space, so kids can learn and have fun at the same time. A selection of 291 three and four-star Best Western hotels are strategically placed along the routes, meaning that a comfy bed and great food can be guaranteed after a hard days learning too.
What’s more, the hotels offer free accommodation for up to two children under 15 sharing a room with two adults.
As the icing on the cake, Best Western Hotels GB is also offering three nights for the price of two at over 100 of its hotels throughout July and August.
Mikhaila Brentnall, PR Manager, Best Western Hotels GB, said: “The school summer holiday is a great opportunity for parents and children alike to spend some quality time together. Many kids feel bored with their endless free time and as a result parents often feel that they need to spend bagfuls of money trying to keep their children entertained.”
“Best Western’s family fun plan offers the perfect antidote to this dilemma, as the whole family can choose from our list of exciting and educational landmarks and attractions, many of which are actually free. It really makes the best use of the long summer holidays that us adults are so envious of!”
“With our three for two offer over the school holidays, kids and adults can learn more for less this summer enjoying some of the wonderful attractions on our doorstep.”
